I have been having some odd behavior occur with Civil Accudraw working alongside AccuSnaps and the Tentative Point input specifically. I am accustomed to defining specifically what snap I wish to use prior to locating any point. For instance, in the software our office is migrating from I select "End" snap then select the line segment I wish to snap to endpoint of. To the best of my knowledge in Microstation\OpenRoads the equivalent process would be to set the keypoint divisor to "1" then set "keypoint" as the active snapmode, then hover over line segment of interest, then tentative point to snap to keypoint location, then data point to confirm. The following behaviors occur when I use that procedured with Civil Accudraw also enabled (works fine with Civil Accudraw disabled):
- Sometimes the tentative point snaps correctly, but the blue Civil Accudraw cross hair is in another location. Data point confirms the blue Civil Accudraw cross hair location instead of the large tentative point location, causing incorrect snap location. The location of the blue Civil Accudraw cross hair doesn't make any sense either, it's not an index lock from previous point. It's close enought to the tentative point location to be overlooked if not careful too.
- Sometimes the tentative point entry (Left + Right chord) doesn't create a tentative point, but instead locks one of the Civil Accudraw ordinates and displays an orange cross hair indicator. I can't find anything in the help file documentation saying that tentative point will be picked up by accudraw as an ordinate lock. This seems to be in conflict with the Accusnap input.
- Also, when I "shift+tentative" to get the shortcut snap menu, the menu is non-functional and stays up on the screen (can't select any snap, and it just stays up on the screen). The only way to get the menu to disappear is to enter the "shift+tentative" input, then it disappears. This only occurs when Civil Accudraw is active. If Civil Accudraw is not active the menu works just fine.
Any thoughts?? Is anybody experiencing similar issues??
Thanks!!
