Is there a way to make the terrain model match up with the corridor in all the of the template drops?

I have a terrain of an intersection that I built using 3D elements (see below).

But the problem is when I look at the model in cross section view the terrain model and the corridor are not matching up.  I created the 3D element that defines the terrain boundary at the edge of the corridor by using the partial offset tool and the profile by vertical offset from element and selecting the corridor element.

If I go to a cross section where there is a point of a triangle (and not the edge of the triangle) then the cross section looks fine (see below).

I thought that if I was able to swap lines in the terrain then I could swap the triangles to match up with the template drops of the corridor but this was not the case.

Is there a way to make the terrain model match up with the corridor in all the of the template drops?
