How to draw i.e string lines using the points from a survey in inroads?

Hi

I surveyed a bridge and I would like to draw lines rather than using the control code for the features. I tried to place smartline through the survey points but the result was smart lines with elevations 0 ( 2D smartline) I want to draw in 3D. I do not know whether I am not using the appropiate snap or I might to use another command.
