Greetings. I'm fairly new to Geopak. I'm working on a long roadway project and have just created several proposed .tin surfaces from cross section linework. I'm now merging the .tin files together. I know usually the .tin files have to overlap to be able to merge. The problem in my case is that the cross sections used to create the .tin's are in multiple files. For example, one file contains cross sections from 00+00 to 268+00. The next cross section file starts at 269+00. So there is a 100' gap between cross section files and now the .tin files as well. I have been able to merge 2 .tin files by loading both .tins, going into Edit Triangles on one tin file, placing breaklines spanning across the gap between points I want to connect, then Add vertex's in-between those breaklines. I sometimes have to change the z elevation on the new vertex's. Then I am able to merge the 2 tin files.
Is there an easier way to merge 2 .tin files with a gap such as 100'?
Note: I have been searching on here for a similar topic, but didn't find anything. If it has previously been discussed, please direct me to the proper post.
