I do not know how the development of Open Roads might effect this, but as an InRoads user, I believe one currently controls the display of alignments with the settings in the InRoads XIN file. Well, when I was at the local DOT and on all projects we do for them, the Vertical Annotation tools do not provide all of the flexibility we require. What would really prove useful is a methodology to continue plot a point symbol on all Curve VPI's but have an option to only annotate curve-less VPI's with the leader, station and elevation. Then, where we do annotate a curve with curve data, we would like to be able to include the station and elevation in the column of data for the curve. It would also be nice if one could add custom data, similar to drafting notes, or even a extra line of static text.
