GEOPAK-SECTION INCREMENT

Hello,

I am working with Power Geopak v8i SS2.

I have sampled some sections and have pattern lines at 20 ft increments.  However, in the Draw Cross Sections dialog, there is an Increment button to select "Increment" or "Even" and since I already have pattern lines defining the section location, why is there an additional increment control?  I thought the pattern lines sampled the section at their respective station location.  It sounds line I can have additional sections between pattern lines, depending how I increment the XS Cells?
