OpenRoads Civil Accudraw behavior modification request

I have had an exceedingly difficult time using PowerInroads to locate coordinates at intersections and perpendicular locations.  There are a couple defects already filed that will hopefully make this situation better in the future (perp snap incorrectly disabled for distance\dimension commands, civil accudraw rotate to element crashes if element is 3d), but a little change to the behavior of civil accudraw would make the situation much, much easier to deal with.

Using regular accudraw when a direction is locked and the nearest snap is enabled you have effectively instructed the software to locate the intersection of the locked direction and an element at the location nearest your cursor, and that's exactly what happens.  But, civil-accudraw (brg-dist) does not behave this way.  If you lock a direction and activate "nearest" snap the resulting snap location does not reflect the actual intersection of the direction and element.

I know I can just switch over to regular accudraw for this functionality, but it would be great to have this behavior consistent across both accudraws and I can't think of a reason why not to.
