I've been working on some complex Corridors in Ss2, (and I know many users are still using Ss2) so I wanted to share this tip.
My corridor has a number of cross streets and entrances and it has proven beneficial to display many of the Corridor Features while developing any intersecting streets. I have created a number of Feature Filters to make it easy to only display those features that are contributing to triangulation since I often need to ID features and it prevents the accidental selection of a DNC features.
However, during processing, I recommend you do not enable the display of features (or components.) I have seen a tenfold or more increase of processing time when allowing the Roadway Designer to display any of these during processing. Using the surface tools to display them after processing seems to take a significantly shorter time.
