I have a few horizontal alignments (HAs) with accompanying vertical alignments (VAs) that were created using SS3 and they need to be extended. I'm trying to use the Append Element tool under Horizontal Geometry to add another 50 - 300 ft to the beginning/end of each HA and then update the stationing start to take the extra length into account. Every time I do this though the VA moves out of the right position and so the profile becomes unusable/unreadable. Basically, I'm trying to extend the HAs without ruining the VAs.
I see in the legacy InRoads window there's an option for Maintaining Station Difference under Geometry>Horizontal Curve Set>Stationing, but it doesn't seem to help in this case. The HAs already have stationing starting at 10+00 if that matters. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
