When using the Create Cross Sections tool, while there may be reasons to specify the station and offset in discrete actions (as it works now), I can't think of a reason at the moment, and I'd like to suggest an enhancement.
In such cases as driveways and cross drains, I would prefer an action that would allow me to specify two points along the centerline of the driveway or the cross drain. This input should populate both the station--by the location where that line intersects the centerline--and the skew--by the angle between perpendicular to the centerline of the roadway and the centerline of the crossing feature.
I'd like to add that Perpendicular type cross sections should be handled as a special case of the skewed cross section. Instead of typing them differently, just make all of them "skewed" but at an angle of 0 degrees. In case this has a bearing on computational efficiency, a conditional could establish that where the skew is 0 degrees (or suspiciously close to 0 degrees) is treated as perpendicular. Surely that wouldn't have a big impact on operations.
Also, please allow users to identify the purpose for each custom-defined cross section. Such as whether it's a cross drain or driveway or whatever.
