Myself and several colleagues had some new Autodesk Products installed and we are all now getting an error popping up when using MX, as follows:
In detail:
> this doesn't come up in any other software that we've tried, just MX (mostly MS Office stuff but also including AutoCAD itself)
> it doesn’t ‘run to completion’ – we just have to hit cancel (which doesn’t always get rid of it although it will ‘go behind’ other applications); NB AutoCAD 2015 is fully installed and operational. Also sometimes it’s just an ‘OK’ button, which gets rid of it (until next time)
> it's quite frequent - it comes up on project startup, opening files, alignment and some other dialogue boxes
> this is a problem in both SS2 and SS4 (haven't tried SS3)
> we've not come across this problem with previous versions of AutoCAD
> highlighting the install in Task Manager and using Go To Process points us to one of the MX/Moss .exe's (varies which one)
> no errors occur in Microstation (SS3 – although this was on a PC without MX)
> we also have ProjectWise SS4 installed
So this may not be a Bentley-generated problem, but have any of you out there in the MX community come across (and even better, solved) this problem?
NB we need AutoCAD 2015 installed as company standard regardless as we use AVT (fka AutoTrack) - I'll take responses such as 'just uninstall it' in good humour ;)
