I mentioned this in my previous post here:Re: OpenRoads Dynamic XS View- Point Cloud display but I don't want to confuse/convalute topics.
Believe it or not, there ares some things we may like to see in 3D that we don't want to see in XS, and vice versa. TMs for instace- obviously we want them in XS but they are often cumbersome and not needed in 3D. There may be "construction" like components used for processing corridors that are helpful to see how things are solving once in a while (in 3D) that we would not want to show up in XS.
Therefore (hopefully I am not missing a setting somewhere), we need to be able to control what exactly is being shown in XS. I have no way to turn off graphics in XS even though I hae turned them off in 3D view. For the most part, I get why this is- we have 8 independant views we use to look at our data, but the data is still there even if it is turned off in any given view. So, it would seem to me that a user manually "tieing" a 3D view to the XS View is an easy approach to use. Maybe even just a setting being the scenes (WS config var, WS preferences civil option, etc)...
