So today, while playing with Alignments and Automatic Annotation during placement, I was working with a new XIN file, created recently from INI files because I am updatng an old class data set that had no XIN, only INI files.
My alignment kept plotting points using one style even though I thought I had reassigned the Default style correctly.
Turns out, the Default feature style was using the Named Symbology of Default_2 for Points and Lines, Default_3 for Arcs and Default_4 for spirals.
I'm apparently only working on my Master degree!
