I'm using Power Civil for Spain, SS1 (first version release as we bought it as soon as it got into the market).
I'm going to receive a series of gps data that will represent alignment of the road in 3d. It will be initially composed by points and for better manipulation we will be converting it into a complex line element.
We would need to convert such element to a clean comles chains formed by straight lines and arcs so that we can introduce them in the software as an alignment and read the curve radius. This way after assigning road speed p we can find what curves do not comply with the standard.
In the past I used a software called "curve fit" from Boss International, which seems not to exist anymore. It produced quite amazing conversions.
I've been looking in the menusfor something similar and the closest I got what something like "adjust curve" command which worked akwardly.
Probably this is a GIS like issue too but I wanted to post here first.
Any ideas?
