I'm having a problem where the grips/graphical manipulators and dynamic text on on the superelevation lanes and model view are not showing up.
I thought to check in:File > Settings > User > Preferences > View Options - Civil to discover there are no settings for superelevation. Online documentation says there is. Is this something that needs to be turned on/installed?
I'm using OpenRoads Designer CE 2021 Release 1

I will use ANALYZE POINT tool in the plan view to find an elevation but get a different value when analyzing in the profile view .... same element at same station. The plan view elevation is wrong... the profile view is correct. Any ideas what I may be doing wrong here ?

I am struggling with getting my Dynamic Cross Section Cells to scale properly. There seem to be so many places in which a cells scale can be adjusted which is confusing. What is the proper workflow to properly setup these cells in Element Templates? Does the Annotation Scale in the drawing affect the size of these cells as well as all of the settings within the Element Template? Which is the correct way to get these set correctly? I tried to copy the Bentley standard PROW, EROW xsec cell tags but that didn't work out like I had planned.
Initially my tags looked correct, then I synced the Element Template Library with the Master Library and they got extremely large.
Hello All-
I accidentally set one of my Model Component Material Symbology for a Asphalt layer to have this weird lane striping to be associated with it. Any thoughts on how to change this back to a normal Asphalt Symbology? I tried updating the Civil Materials Pallet, no dice. A guy I work with once told me I was "just OK" with using ORD so any help here is very much appreciated =) Thanks All.

For review and submittal purposes I've created container files for all of the categories of references (corridors, terrain, centerlines, ROW, drainage, etc.). I then created a master container which references the individual containers with live nesting turned on. The goal is for this master file to be the main file for reviews. However, temporary dimensions are not working properly in this master file. I am not able to label the slopes of end conditions. The temporary dimension tool basically won't let me pick a start point outside of the pavement subgrade. See screenshot below. Is this just an issue with nested references or is there something else going on? Thanks in advance!

I teach Engineering Drafting and Design at a Community College and have been tasked with teaching OpenRoads Designer for a Highway Drafting Class. AutoDesk Civil 3D is what we have always used and that platform has plenty of good tutorials for my students and I to use, including sample drawings in the program. I cannot find any such tutorials for OpenRoads or sample drawings in OpenRoads to use.
Any help or information would be much appreciated.

When I drag and drop a survey csv file into the field book I'm presented with a couple of choices on a popup box. Neither are what I want. I'd like to use are own, which I can through the import wizard, no problem. But I'd like to add ours to the drag and drop menu. I think these are in a dgnlib but I'm not sure where. Any thoughts on where?
I have a water main utility run that I have projected on to a profile. But can’t seem to get my water valves to project. They are not linked to the water main. ( not sure if possible).

In InRoads SS2 there was a Tool to create a Vertical Alignment from a Horizontal Alignment and a surface: File > Import > Geometry > Vertical from Surface. Can anyone recommend a OpenRoads procedure that's close to this InRoads SS2 procedure?

I have configured a Managed Workspace for OpenRoads Designer in ProjectWise, using the UK standard dataset, however when opening a file using the assigned Workspace it is forcing the Copy Out of all files in the same folder.
I can't see any other variables in ORD that define the active directory, so out of ideas of what to further exclude.
Question is - how do we stop the force copy-out of these unrelated files?

I am looking to setup some plan match lines and found a great video on the subject HERE. However, that video did not explain how the left right offset distances work in terms of getting them to adjust/scale to whatever scale is being used in the drawing models. Can anyone point me in the right direction on that?
Also, in that video it uses the active sheet model's sheet number in the text favorite, but the match line would need to find the next sheet number in the sequence as that is what is is matching. Is that possible?

I wish to merge two or more surfaces / terrain models(excavation models), so i end up with the complete bottom part of the excavation. Is there any way to do this?
I am using ORD 2021 R1. I am also able to use InRoads SS2 if there is a way to do it in InRoads :)

Using OpenRoads Designer Connect Edition.
Created a Terrain from Elements by selecting Top Mesh of a Corridor. However after revising the Corridor, the Top Mesh is updated, but can't get the Terrain to update. How can this Terrain be updated without recreating it?
How do I go about raising or lowering a terrain in ORD? I have a terrain I've made from proposed track profiles, and I want to lower it to represent subgrade. I looked into exporting as an XML and then bringing it back in, but neither the export or import appeared to have a raise/lower option.
When working with our typical roadway plan and profile sheets, we sometime have a need to shift the ditch profiles down to be able to clearly show/label them. This is the case when the ditch profile grade is somewhat close in elevation to the proposed profile grade. In V8i, we would achieve this by adjusting the datum elevation of those profiles when we displayed the elements using the D&C Manager. How would one go about accomplishing a similar outcome when using ORD tools? The closest thing I can think of doing is creating a new named boundary specific to that profile, then reference that in by hand after the sheet is created. Once it is in the sheet, I can turn off the existing ground and proposed profile grades/annotation within that reference and then do the inverse for the original profile view. Cumbersome for sure, so I'm hoping there may be a more elegant method that I haven't thought of yet.

Few years back there have been a lot of presentations showing plans for software development. I am really curious what are the goals for the ORD. How it will deal with IFC, modelling impeovements, reporting tools, analyzing tools, etc.
If it happened you have seen such presentation, would you please share link here?

Does anyone know if there is a keyin to minimize and maximize the ribbon? This is the little "carrot" arrow in the top right of the screen next to the Search Ribbon and just below the universal file close "X" button.
I have tried a few different ways to get the "Instantaneous Grade" and "Average Grade" columns to populate in the Sight Visibility Results, but they always show up as zero. Does anyone know the trick to get these to populate with the results?
I used the parameters below to get the results shown above. I've ran it on a proposed terrain, existing terrain, and corridor; all results show zero for the "...grade" columns.
