Microstation Text Window comes up at start of program - "XFMEH is already loaded."

Version: Microstation V8i (Select series 3)

Hi Everyone,

Subject pretty much describes it. Started out of nowhere. Most of the time when I start a new Microstation program the text window pops up with this message and I cannot get rid of it, but have to minimize it. Also Microstation has been crashing a lot more lately.

Thanks for any help.

S&S Reporting on Networks

Whenever I go to report on a network using the "Outfall" option, it crashes my MicroStation.  Does anyone have any clue as to why S&S doesn't like me?  I am using InRoads 08.11.07.540 running on MicroStation 08.11.07.443 in this case.

Error creating dwg files

Hi guys,

There is an error appears during the file converted to dwg (export design to acad format). Could anyone help me to sort this thing out? Thanks in advance.

Note: Im using MXRoad V8i SS3 08.11.09.674.

SS3 - Open Roads - 'Create From File' command to import an InRoads DTM

I am using the ‘Create From File’ to import an InRoads DTM into Open Roads.  The Point Elements being brought into the Point Element folder but none of the Linear or 3D Linear Elements. How do I get the linear elements to import so that I can see them under the Linear Elements and/or 3D Linear Elements folder?

Unable to create .dwg file

I am using Bentley MXROAD V8i SELECT series 3 version 08.11.09.493 in Windows XP 64 bit system

While exporting annotated plan to CAD file i.e. .dwg format it shows me error as "Error creating a file: [path of file where it is being asked to save]"

Also in message box it shows "Replaced missing RSC font [13] with [STANDARD]", "Fence contents inside"

OpenRoads - Extra VPIs in profile

I have been using the Vertical Geometry tools in OpenRoads to create a proposed profile for a proposed roadway alignment. When I export the profile to Geopak and draw the profile using the Design and Computation Manager, extra VPIs are drawn at all of the VPTs on the vertical alignment. Does anyone know what could be causing this to occur and how I can avoid this problem when creating profiles in OpenRoads?

SS2 Corridor Modeling Stripping components give incorrect linework in geopak cross sections

I'm using Power GEOPAK SS2 (08.11.07.615). I have 4 adjacent stripping components in my corridor: topsoil, pavement left, pavement right, topsoil. The dynamic cross sections within roadway designer look fine, but in the traditional GEOPAK cross sections drawn from the dtm, these components do not trace existing ground - they simply connect in a straight line between the end points. If I use a single stripping component - such as topsoil stripping across the entire section, then the cross section linework tracing along under existing ground as expected. Adding a second adjacent stripping component is what seems to cause the trouble.

The stripping components don't have to be directly adjacent to each other. If I remove the center pavement components, the remaining - not touching - topsoil components do not both draw correctly.

Cut & Fill under Terrain Model in ss3

I´m trying to create Cut & Fill under the menu ”Terrain Model”. I succeed in creating some sort of triangulated element with a Feature Definition.

But, I would like to have Contours too. I have created an Element Template with Contour Definition connected to my Feature Definition selected, when I create my Cut & Fill. I get the correct Feature Definition, but no Contours.

My questions are:

  1. Is it possible to get Contours with the Cut & Fill Command under Terrain Model?
  2. What kind of element is created when I perform the command Cut & Fill?

E0045 Can any one help to resolve this error 

E0045 Cannot rename ZZZZ

The first character of a string name is not amended during automatic string naming. ZZZ is the maximum limit for the remaining characters of the name and therefore no further names are possible.

No more string names are available with this initial character

Loading Inroads SS2 through menu bar

My computer was just replaced from XP to Windows 7 64 bit.  IT installed Microstation and Inroads (both SS2) and now I have lost load Applications in the menu bar.  I have created a menu bar but can't get Microstation to find the mdl app to load.  Inroads is loaded at the following drive:  C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\InRoads Group V8.11\bin\CivUstAT.ma.  What am I doing wrong.

Need Station/Offsets of (a lot of) survey points (GPK SS3)

I need to create side notes (listing station/offset/description) of a large number of survey points. Points are in the GPK file, and all descriptions are good. How do I get the station and offset of each point from my known alignment? Bonus points if it is some kind of text file I can bring into Microstation!

Can Inroads import Google Earth Elevation data for generating DTMs similar to heard in MX/other products ? I am using SS2 ver. dont know if such functionality is available in SS3.

Inroads SS2: Calculate Pond volume using the Hydrology and Hydraulic tool

Hello, I have an existing tailing pond created from survey data. I need to get a stage volumes. When I use Compute Pond Volumes tool, I got the message "Pond not found at that location". I have used "Pass through Contour",  created closed contours and imported to the pond surface. but I still got the same message. I have attached the pond surface file. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Lucy

Units inside Program INROADS V8i

When i used Inroads 2004 when i opened an Autocad file witch i was using "meters" the program asked me should i keep that unit , now in my new version V8i the program doesnt ask , so when i go to the "Create Template" command it ges a little weird what am i using there metters or imperial? The misc comonets inluded there are in metters or inches ? If so how can i change all defaults of program to metters Please ? Thank you .
