I use PowerCivil V8i (Select Series 2). I need to import descriptions with my point data. I am able to import the data sometimes, and other times it will not import. I use ODOT config files and a *.dc data file created from a Trimble Business Center. Today when I import the *.dc file none of the attached description data is shown in the Dataset Edit file or in the dgn. I have had this problem on and off for the past year. Since it is intermittent I assume there is some variable being reset, but I cannot find it. Any thoughts, work-a-arounds are appreciated. I have spoken with several colleagues at other companies and they experience this too.
