He I am again - working with a project with more than 30 varying template drops with a number of curves needing super-elevation.
I did not create most of these and apparently the people who did had not discovered the point list capability in the template editor. Some typical sections were created by copying others, but often so many items changed that entire new templates were created. The net result is that across a single curve, one or more points important to the superelevation change names.
I was able to use the point controls dialog box to change some points settings but discovered that once I had a superelevation working within one template drop range, when I moved into the next template drop segment, the superelevation no longer applied. If I tried to copy a point control into another template drop segment, the points controls turned colors - indicating a conflict. This conflict is maintained even though one of more points in the super control is different. As long as the software see a conflict, the superelevation fails in that template drop section. If I disable the control I copied, then the new control works but the original now fails.
Please don't tell me I have to break all of my super control points by station range to match the template drops!
