I know this might be in the wrong location, but it took me 20 mins to figure out how to get a new post (sorry in advance).
I have .POD file of a Wall and the channel bottom. Starts at the LWD, runs down the wall and out acrros the channel bottom. I know how to export the points already using the XYZ Tool. I know how to import into Inroads and create Triangles and Contours. the Problem im having is. They want to examine the wall for Voids. I'm being asked to contour the face of the wall so they can find the depressions. Very similar to contouring the channel bottom. I can only get InRoads to contour in the Z axis which gives use very confusing contours up the wall (beucase it's contours the Z).
I need Inraods to contour the face of the wall in the Yaxis so it will show depressions just like it does with the channel bottom in the Z axis.
So far i found one article speaking of useing Excell to swap the Y and Z columns and reimporting the new Z value into Inraods and running contours on that. It didn't work, plus the wall curves and just swapping the values may distort the face of the wall.
i only have at my disposal, Microstation V8i SS3 and InRoads Suite V8i SS2. Thank you for any import or help. again sorry for wrong location :)
