Hi all,
Just hoping that there might be a way to do this. What I have done so far:
1. Created a horizontal alignment for the centreline of rail, then Evaluation -> create a profile, to display the existing surface level for this alignment.
2. Created a horizontal / vertical alignment at the project boundary (edge of the rail corridor) to show the existing surface levels at this alignment.
3. I then added the boundary vertical alignment to the CL rail profile, Evaluation -> alignments to profile, to overlay the surface level at the boundary over the surface level at CL of rail, so that I can see the elevation of the project boundary corresponding to the correct stations / chainage for the rail alignment.
Is there a way to annotate the Vertical alignment in this profile set? I can only seem to annotate the levels along the CL rail alignment that was used to create the profile set. Although the second alignment displays on the profile, I cannot annotate the levels for this alignment; presumably because this data does not align / coincide with the rail alignment at all.
My thoughts were to create a horizontally extruded surface from the project boundary alignment so that it crosses over the CL of rail alignment, and then add this surface to the set so that I can annotate the levels, however due to the shape of the two alignments this proves to be quite difficult.
Is there a simple way to extract this data that I am missing somehow?
Thanks in advance,
Edward
