Ok, I have modified a previous post in hopes to clear up my question and get some answers:
Here goes the issue:
The superelevation that InRoads SS3 creates for you based on the .sep files never gets exactly how you want it. It is just the nature of the alignment (not enough tangent runout, tie into existing cross-slope….etc…etc)
You need to edit the super lane lines to how you want it to look like. Basically, you have to math it out on paper and calculator.
In SS2, you would make the changes to the lane lines and then apply the shoulder rollover lock, and the shoulder lines were calculated based on your changes.
In SS3, apparently this is not the case since the .ird file is gone and there is no provision for applying the shoulder rollover lock (that I can find). It is only applied in the template now.
So, after you make changes to the lane lines, you must math out the shoulder rollover lines and create them in the superelevation editor. This is too much work.
I was hoping that there is an easier way to calculate your shoulder rollover lines based on your changes to the lane lines.
Thanks in advance,
