I have setup a family of Preferences and Styles setup so that as alignments are created and edited, they are automatically stationed and annotated with bearings and distances on linear and curve data on curve.
I have an alignment that basically runs from north west to south east with a linear element at each end with three compound curves in between. The lines are annotated with a bearing and distance using a named symbology defined with a negative vertical offset and the stations are all defined using a named symbology with a positive vertical offset. This is designed so the line labels do not interfere with station labels. But the last segment of the alignment is running slightly south west and the label is flipped to the opposite side of the line placing it on top of the station labels.
It would seem the label is trying to remain upright as is done according to standard drafting practices. This is something that might be desirable if it remained at its relative location (still below the line) or if the station labels also flipped in a similar manner and were therefore still not conflicting with the line label.
Is this a new undocumented feature?
It is possible that the XIN was opened in Ss3 or ss4 - could that have added an XML attribute that Ss2 is honoring even though its intrface has no manner of displaying this control?
