Hi all,
I am trying to annotate the intersecting/crossing alignment names of my ORD Profile drawings and can successfully do this using a Text Favourite Label.
Is there any way to implement this Text Favourite as in an Annotation Group to label all my intersecting/crossing points automatically when applying Profile Drawing Annotation? Or even as a cell for Element Templates?

I am currently working with Power InRoads SS4 and modeling a project that has already been designed in SS2 using InRoads and Microstation. I'm doing this to familiarize myself with the software for future projects. My question is whether or not Openroads is typcailly used during the design process or used as modeling after the fact.
Working with the program to develop a 3d model from SS2 data seems hit or miss when it comes to the details of the corridor such as handicap ramps or driveways.
Any experience or best practices relating to this is much appreciated!
I am working on road extension and change in vertical alignment.
When I create new templates, drop the templates and cretae surface, the new surface is not in line with the top of pavement.
I am confused what could have happened?
The only thing I suspect now is I made some error connecting the points, especially when I was transiting from section with sidewalk to sections without sidewalk.
Has anyone come across a similar question and solved it?

I am new to OpenRoads Designer Connect Edition. I am looking into minor grading of Basins and Channel. I am having issues with change my elements elevation. I have tried profile by constant elevation with no luck. Any one have some input on the best way to change the elements elevation?
I'm trying to create a 200' scale alignment label. I've set the text dimensions to 0.06 such that when the annotation scale is 1:200', the labels would be 12'. In one dgn, this worked and produced desirable results.
However, when I tried to replicate this, the labels turned out to be 17.8'. Same text style referenced, same text favorite, same work space.
Any ideas what went wrong here?
I have created cross section drawings but am experiencing a challenge. i want to show elevation labels for specific points on the cross section, but elevations of all points are being displayed. i have attached a snapshot of the cross section model
Analyze volume tool(Cut&Fill volumes) is missing from Civil Terrain tools in PS SS4. Also key-in TERRAINMODEL ANALYZE VOLUME doesn't work. If Opensite Designer will replace PowerSurvey then it will also miss option to calculate volumes between terrains?

We recently purchased a TopCon FC5000 GPS unit with Magnet field software. We are having trouble importing survey data into GeoPAK. We have tried exporting the survey data as a *.SDR file and a*.FC5 file. We can not get all the points to import. When we import the *sdr only 5-6 points of 26 points show up. When we import as a *.FC5 file only 5-6 points show up but they are different than the points that show up when imported as *.sdr file.
trying to set up ORD. My text styles are being scaled by a factor of 120. I imported my text styles from SS3 and I am using seed files from local DOT. Any ideas why me text is now being scaled up by 120?
Also, in dynamic cross sections, a line represents this section in plan. Another symptom that I assume is related is that as I'm drawing a profile line, in plan a line appears to show me where along that line I'm about to click.
If I had to guess, this is related to the model space in the ObjectSpace Browser, but I see only a few entries in red, and only entries under Active3dByPlanProfileRule, and ProfileEntity itself (which has no children). That said, I don't know the fix.
I have seen the negative behavior be corrected after a user mashes a few buttons and clicks, but I don't know what those actions represent, and unfortunately that user doesn't recall what those steps were.
And I believe sometimes it corrects itself after I close the file and reopen it, but sometimes it doesn't, so there might be a specific step in processing the file that leads to the breakage or correction.
Any thoughts?

Could I simulate pedestrian movement in Openroads Conceptstation when I import Vissim file into the ORC?
I have a defined Inlet Catalog and conduits catalog which I use with StormCAD. Can I import these to Inroads Storm and Sanitary? Can I import StormCAD catalog into Inroads as a Structure.dat file?
When I export StormCad to Inroads S&S .sdb, it losses its references to the inlets and conduits.

I am running into a bit of problems/frustration here. Maybe it stems from the fact that I am a new user, but anyways. Excuse me being super detailed, I am sure most users will understand a less detailed account but it helps me to be VERY literal
I am using OpenRoads for dredge modeling. Here is what I have done so far and I will try to explain my problem.
1. I have a bathymetry (terrain A) which I have imported as an .xyz easy peasy.
2. I then created a complex horizontal geometry to represent a navigation channel and used the "Geometry > Vertical > Element Profiles > Profile by Constant Elevation" tool to create a flat dredging surface at my desired elevation (below my bathymetry).
3. After this I created a "dredging" terrain "Terrain > Create >From Elements" (Terrain B which is below Terrain A and from which I must project up to bathymetry to create my Dredge Prism)
4. I then used "Model Detailing > 3D Tools > 3D Elements > Create 3D by Slope to Target" to create my side slopes.
5. I have also imported a channel alignment and built a profile out of it.
Up to this point everything seems to be going alright for me but here is where I am running into all sorts of problems. What I would like to do is the following:
1. Merge the sideslopes and my dredged flat surface into a single terrain that I can then compare with the bathymetry above it and obtain volumes from.
2. I would like to generate sections along the alignment illustrating the dredged channel bottom/side slopes/bathymetry. I tried the dynamic sections tools but nothing is showing up. I am guessing it may only work if I had dropped a template along my alignment. I cannot do this because I have an irregular channel with a turning basin at the end of it.
I hope I haven't bored you with the long post but I really do need help here. Any suggestions that come my way will be greatly appreciated!!!!

I am modeling a bike trail with switchbacks and would like to create a point control that ties into the edge of trail that is part of the same corridor. When creating the point control the corridor is not listed as an option in the dropdown. What is the best way to accomplish this?

I´m have installed on my machine OpenRoads ConnectEdition. But I need MicroStation too. So my question is: do I need to download a full install of MicroStation and run it, or there´s a way to use the MicroStation's core that OpenRoads uses? (I'm used to be an Autodesk user, and for Civil 3D you can start it as a normal AutoCAD instance, by clicking separate icon created by Autodesk's install process.) As OpenRoads is built in MicroStation core, Civil3D is built in AutoCAD's core, so can I do this? unfortunately, after install OpenRoads, I can't find an MicroStation icon...

Hi, im following a tutorial on the learnserver however i dont get the same option they have? they can create or auto create a profile run.
I dont have that option but i have the additional option of "hydraulic runs to outfall" and "utility run from link"
anyone know why this is? creating a profile run would be a really useful option
I just received a new computer and my Applications Menu is not loaded in Microstation SS3 to load InRoads SS2. How would I go about configuring this menu. We have a Managed Workspace on ProjectWise.
