When I create a plan and profile sheet, the profiles are automatically created in the Profile Drawing model. I understand how Annotation Groups are assigned to Feature Definitions and how to change the Annotation Group in order to modify the annotations. However, on every project, I have some annotation text that crosses another annotation text. Therefore, I need to move an annotation text in order for the sheet to look good. I will manually move the text and/or leader and everything looks good. When I leave the drawing and then re-enter the drawing, all of the annotation text moves back to the their default location. How can I stop the automatic update of the annotation?

MicroStation V8i I have a DGN file that shows lots of used levels that have no elements on those levels.
I have a DGN file that shows lots of used levels In the level display and the level manager that have no elements on those levels. Why are they being reported this way and Is there a way to stop them from being reported as used? I have attached the DGN file that is giving me the problems and an example of 2 levels that are doing this is TOPO_E_TCAN-Line and TOPO_E_TCEM-Cell although most of the levels being reported as used actually have nothing on them.

profile annotation update problem
When i update profile annotation, annotation is updated automatically and correctly but not placed on our vertical alignment correctly in model drawing ? (see below photo)

Cross Sections Grid

When I generate the cross sections sheets, the bottom grid axis in the cross sections are not adjustable as per the section.
My proposed design is going below the grid axis in the cross section. Please find the snap shot below showing the error in red color area.

[SS4] .NET Framework error when mousing over Project Explorer
This is an interesting error that I won't likely find repeatable on command. I'm using MicroStation V8i SS4, 8.11.09.832 and Geopak 8.11.09.878.
Following an error message of unknown provenance, I can do anything I want with the mouse cursor and there is no error, except that when I move the cursor over Project Explorer, it will come up with this unhandled exception. If I leave the mouse cursor there and use the keyboard to press the continue button, the exception message comes up immediately without touching the mouse at all. This even happens if another window has focus and I move the cursor over the Project Explorer.

How to Update Plan and Profile Drawings When Alignment Changed
I understand how to create plan and profile drawings using named boundaries. However, I'm unsure how to update the drawings if the source alignment is changed (horizontally and/or vertically). I expected this to be done automatically, but this doesn't appear to be the case. Please can somebody direct me to some guidance on how to do this.

Inroads SS2 Roadway Designer / Surface Inconsistencies
The roadway modeler's "Create Surfaces" tool is creating multiple components that aren't represented in the roadway designer. The template only has one component in it and the surface is creating two. For instance, in the drawings below there are two components displayed with the same name "LANE_L". One of the components is solving correctly while the other is solving to a random alignment that is not defined in the point control manager. They are right on top of each other as well. However, the incorrect component has the top right point solving further out to the right. This is happening throughout the surface that was created and it's not just this individual component that is having issues. Please let me know if you need further examples to answer the question!

Power GeoPak Create Deployment Silent Install
Throwing this in here but not really the OpenRoads edition.
Power GeoPak v8i SS10 8.11.09.918
Trying to create the silent install for Power GeoPak. It extracts all the files and creates a CreateDeployment icon. However, when I click on this icon, it just starts a standard install. I followed the information given here: https://communities.bentley.com/products/road___site_design/w/road_and_site_design__wiki/9053/how-to-do-a-silent-install-of-geopak , but this doesn't work. Anyone have any ideas? I am really trying to create a silent install that will allow me to do a network deployment via PDQ or SCCM. Thanks all.

[ORD] Why does ORD randomly freeze while navigating a model with many references?
Hi all,
Does anyone else suffer though very long freezing when sometimes hovering or moving around a model with many references? It seems to show some type of saving process in happening?
Its been happening for a very long time with many different projects and I could never put my finger on what was causing it. Im using 2019 R2 Refresh, but its been happening for a few versions.

Number of points (Max) to complete a viewshed from
In Reality Modelling it is possible the use an STM to perform a VIEWSHED from a specified point.
However when I am tring to use an STM comprised of a 5m grid LIDAR dataset(high fidelty information) I appear to be limited to a MAX number of points to analyse.
I am running a dual processor workstation with 196GB ram so processing resources are not an issue.
I can't even run it in portions as my viewing point needs to be contained within the bounds of the STM.
Is there anywhere I can increase this value?

ORD Geometry Connector does not work

I am using ORD 10.07.03.18, with Geometry Connector Tool I cannot select neither Begin nor the End Element. I am quite sure that in the previous release (before refresh) it worked as desired.
Are you able to use this tool successfully? I wonder if that's general bug or it is my installation that needs to be fixed.

Survey Data import from AutoCAD Topographic Survey drawing into ORD Survey Data
Hi,
I am having problem in importing any points or 3Dpoly lines from AutoCAD drawing into ORD as Survey Data. We usally get the Survey Data in Autocad drawings formats.
When I am selecting any 3D Poly lines for importing into ORD by selecting Graphics option......There is no process going on.
First I have attached the AutoCAD drawing into ORD. Then used Graphic option to import the CAD data into ORD Survey data, but these is no response in ORD.
I am attching the AutoCAD drawing for reference. Could anyone describes what is the best workflow to import survey data from AutoCAD drawing into ORD survey Data

In OpenRoads Designer, can the Thematic:Slope graphic results from a terrain model be exported so I can reference it in to a dgn and print them on plans? Can I export these to shapes so I can overlay on other shapes in order to calculate an area?
In OpenRoads Designer I did Terrain > From File > opened an xml file, turned on the triangles under properties and set Extended Display Style to Thematic:Slope
Then used Display Styles > Thematic:Slopes > Set Thematic Display to Slope > edit display button > set my display to percentage and selected Fast - Isolines. Then set my legend.
Now I would like to print the results on a set of plans and also overlay the results on concrete foundation shapes to get a area.
How can I do this?

End condition exception and linear construction limit both showing.
My template is set up with priorities to solve for several cut and fill conditions. The guardrail end condition has the highest numerical priority and solved last. Naturally, this creates "pockets" of the guardrail shoulder condition along a corridor - ultimately leading to the use of an end condition exception or multiple parametric constraints to model the end condition appropriately.

The question: Why is a lower priority linear feature still showing in my model both visually and mathematically?
CASE 1: End condition exception is used to force guardrail shoulder conditions.
CASE 2: Multiple parametric constraints are used for shallow fill conditions.
What would be the best way to keep the linear feature from showing up or more critically, having only one linear feature definition for construction limits?
My first thought is adding display rules to the other components conditional to if the guardrail condition is applied; but would cause an additional parametric constraint-switch to force the shallow fill condition. I realize that there are probably several ways to go about achieving this but I would really appreciate any guidance or experience.

About Workspace in Open Roads Designer
I just started working in ORD but before that I was working on MicroStation v8i and Powergeopak. It used to have two workspaces: Design and Sheet in a single microstation file. However, in ORD, we can have only one based on our selection while creating the file. How do I put two details at different scale in a single sheet?

I’m new with working with terrain models.
This is what I did.
OpenRoads Modeling > From File > select 20180410_DTM BRANCHBURG-LAMBERTVILLE-PLEASANT VALLEY.xml > Hit import
Properties > Triangles > Extended - Display Style - Thematic:Slope
Display Styles > Thematic:Slope > Thematic Display - Slope and set my display - percent & fast isolines and do my legend.
Then I open another dgn file which is my border and other ref files and reference the terrain dgn in.
Do I have to change a setting somewhere? Export the file to something else? Is there a special plot setting?
