Hi, I'm using MX ss4 build 845 and keep getting this error when I try to use the input file runner with ultraedit. The input file runs if I use the file/input menu option in MX but not through ultraedit. I have been assured by I.T. that we have full licenses.

I've created a civil cell for a roundabout entry, but I'm having problems when placing it into a design. The entry/exit radii are tangent to the edge of pavement, but when I place the cell, it creates an alternative solution. See below.

I'm trying to update OpenRoads Designer to Update 2 (10.02.00.60) from 12/11/2017. But it seem there is a problem - it says that I need to install KB2999226 update. When I download this update from Microsoft it gives another error saying that this update is not proper for my computer. So how should I update this to Update 2??
Hi, apologies its not very current- but i`ve come across this problem on a couple of recent projects and its starting to bug me a little.
The same input files with effectively an M string (halgn and valgn) and sub strings then built off the alignment via standard 100, 101 commands; and we are seeing differing point numbers on the strings created.
This is playing hell with input files that use point numbers (not my input files).
Is it a system parameter setting or global option thing? ive tried 017, curv and nocu options but that hasn't affected the output.
any help appreciated- i`m removing point numbers in the files but it would be easier for things to just match up across machines.
Hello, I have some questions to ask. There will be an upgrade to my pc and there are thoughts to updated PowerinRoads and get the OpenRoads Designer. I tried to open in a trial version the old files but it opens as read-only. how can I recognize the old files?I manage to open the dtm file but what about the alg file. I have an existing line of my pipe and I want to use it as my horizontal alignment. How can I import it to my project?

While using InRoads PowerCivil ss4 i'm trying to attach an extended alignment for an already existing corridor.
In ss2 I could just set negative stationing for the beginning of the alignment, up until the original beginning where 0+000 km would be.
Then all the template drops would stay in place. Meaning the templates were locked to the starting station 0+000 km
This doesn't seem to work in SS4. Here it instead connects every template drop/point control/parametric constrain to the physical starting point of the alignment.
I tried using Corridor reattach but it automatically adjust every template drop/point/constrain, after which I have to manually adjust everything. This is for a huge project devastatingly time consuming.
I then tried to remove the alignment and exchange it with a newly created alignment.
It has a negative station at the beginning of the alignment, starting station at 0+000 km and same end station as earlier.
Even then it adjusts to make up for the change in length of the alignment.
I then was happy to find out that you could export csv information from every corridor object. But was quickly sad again when I found out that you couldn't import it again...
Is there some feature that I'm missing or missusing?
Can I change the length of an alignment without having to change every drop/point/constrain? Or without having to go back to SS2 and then import the corridor again.
Appreciate every help I can get, this is driving me crazy.

Hello everyone.
I'm learning OpenRoads for distribution within my agency and I am trying to reverse the stationing direction of a single horizontal geometry element.
I've found other topics and within the help that confirm using the Complex by Elements I can re-orient the stationing by the direction that the elements are joined and this has worked and I utilized as a "work-around" as noted below.
So here's my example:
I have a geometry line over an over-pass (north/south), through the on/off-ramp intersection and into a "T" intersection, which will have the legs partially rebuilt. The geometry of the overpass road ends in the middle of the "T" and then a geometry leg to each direction of the intersection, left and right. Stationing on this project goes from left to right, so coming off of the primary geometry end point and going to the right, the stationing works fine. But to go to the left from the same point - end of the primary geometry. This makes the stationing start at the intersection and go left, which is not what I need it to do, the stationing should be the other direction. It is just a 700' tangent so there is no complexity at all.
My work-around essentially split the line in two, and I made it a complex by elements in the other direction as the help suggested and it worked, to the point that there's technically an angle point in the middle of my line... It seems that having to do a segmented line and making it complex, or drawing a "construction" line, then drawing the final geometry back the other direction, adds work steps and time to a process that a button click should handle as well as the relationships of all the extra points and lines - I don't like extraneous line-work within my drawings.

Is there an established workflow for migrating survey data from SS4 power geopak to OpenRoads update 2?
When opening an SS4 file I get the following message:
Can we utilize the merge to master from the reference dialog box?
Will we need to maintain an SS4 installation on our pc to facilitate a migration to ORD through landxml or something like that?
Any ideas?

I've created several corridor models and have recently changed the dgn library for the components. (ie. changed linetypes, levels, etc for all components) My question is how can I update my current corridor models with the new component features that I just revised? I created an entirely new corridor model, and everything came in correctly in correspondence to my updates, but I DONT want to have re-model all my corridors again. Please Help!

I had performed the horizontal design, vertical profile, carriageway design, rule-based superelevation, shoulder design and earthwork design on a MX Road model.
I found that the cut/fill line for the Right Hand Side of the design carriageway did not appear in the cross sections generated. The cross section only show till the verge of the RHS. However, the cut/fill line for the LHS appear in the cross section.
By checking on the plan of the MX Road model, the earthwork string with starting alphabet “I” was created.
By reporting the cross section string points, the cut/fill “IXXX” earthwork strings only appear for the LHS in the list. No “IXXX” earthwork strings for RHS show in the list.
May I know the method to solve this problem?

How do you load feature definitions into ORD update 2? The help file is shown below:
The help file is vague. I'm assuming the Feature Definitions are the same as SS4.

I wasn't sure if I should post this in the OpenRoads forum or the MicroStation forum, but I will try it here first. Is there a tool similar to the "Analyze Point" tool within MicroStation that will allow a user to query an alignment or a surface? We have some users in our firm that don't always have access to InRoads/Geopak, but it would be nice if they could query some of those civil features within MicroStation. In other words, find the profile elevation at a certain point, or find the elevation on a surface. It would definitely be nice if they could extract some basic information without having to occupy an OpenRoads license. We are currently utilizing SS4 products, not Connect or RD.

Desde mi máquina, no se lanzan los videos del canal de aprendizaje al oorimir launch ni en el navegador Chrome ni en el internet explorer, pensé que pudiera ser un problema de mi cuenta de Bentley pero he intentado desde otra máquina y sí funciona por lo que debe ser un problema de mi máquina, se que es un problema genérico pero agradecería ayuda porque estoy parado con ello, el caso es que el problema es reciente y no se porque se haya podido generar, no he cambiado de sistema operativo windiws 7 64bits, ni tengo un nuevo antivirus, es el karspersky de siempre.

Is there a setting that links Feature Definitions (FD) for Alignment and Profiles? I am having an issue where we drawing our alignment with a FD and then draw our profile with a profile FD and it changes our alignment to the profile FD. We want these to be separate. We are using PowerGeopak SS4 08.11.09.878.
What is the difference between SUDA and OpenRoads? If I am working in SUDA am I in OpenRoads? Is OpenRoads a separate program I need to install similar to InRoads?
